The U.S. says that the 1.7 million Palestinians living in the al-Mawasi area are in danger of getting a deadly disease.

The U.S. has issued a letter to Israel,US Demands Urgent Action from Israel on Gaza Aid giving it 30 days to improve humanitarian aid access in Gaza or face potential cuts to military assistance. This letter highlights serious concerns about the humanitarian crisis in the region, particularly as Israeli military actions in northern Gaza have reportedly led to high civilian casualties.

According to the U.S., Israel has significantly restricted humanitarian movements, with nearly 90% of aid being denied last month. An Israeli official has stated that they are reviewing the letter and will address the concerns raised by U.S. officials.

Despite these restrictions, the Israeli military has reported that 30 trucks of aid from the World Food Program entered northern Gaza after a two-week pause in food deliveries. The UN has emphasized that the humanitarian situation is critical, with many residents relying solely on aid for survival.

Antoine Renard from the World Food Program noted that people in northern Gaza have limited access to fresh food and depend mainly on assistance from UN agencies.
